John joined HullWiper Ltd as Managing Director in 2024, bringing with him over 18 years of senior experience in the marine submersible machinery, technology and leasing industries. Most recently, he was the Middle East Regional General and Operations Manager at a global subsea equipment rental and solutions provider.
At HullWiper, John is focused on further enhancing and expanding the capabilities of our Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) system, ensuring it meets the increasing sustainability needs of the global shipping industry. He is also actively working to bring our services to new locations across the globe.
John graduated with a BEng (Hons) degree in Engineering from the University of Aberdeen in the UK. Outside of work, he is a keen swimmer and automotive enthusiast.
Ajit is the chief bean counter of the HullWiper team and is charged with using his experience to improve our bottom line by increasing revenue and keeping control on expenditure.
Ajit strongly believes in incorporating sustainable processes where possible – such as having a paperless accounts department.
Melamie joined the HullWiper team in 2015 as QA & Administration Manager. She expertly manages our quality assurance and administration management processes to improve the efficiency of our internal procedures, promote team spirit and support a safe working environment.
Melamie is recognised for her skills and passion. As a badminton and team player, she works hard to improve her competencies both professionally and personally.
Salvador is HullWiper’s Office Administrator, managing all aspects of the hull cleaning enquiries we receive. He is committed to going the extra mile and delivering positive, cost-effective and tailored solutions for our customers and business partners.
As part of a team that is committed to providing sustainable solutions for the industry, Salvador takes pride in playing a part in protecting both human life and the marine environment.
David is our resident Technical Manager and is responsible for the oversight and ROV technical assistance for all our global locations. He also carries out Research & Development (R&D) on our hull cleaning units to improve their efficiency.
David is fully onboard with HullWiper’s commitment to work towards a green future that his children can enjoy.
As the Technical Supervisor for HullWiper, Wilhelm is responsible for the training and setup of new locations, technical support and audits at our partner locations. Having performed many hull cleaning jobs around the world, he is passionate about sharing his experience and knowledge of eco-friendly operations with the greater HullWiper family.
Rhys joined HullWiper in 2019 and assists our partner locations with ROV repairs and operations. He takes great pride in knowing that he plays a part in making a positive impact on the environment.
Rhys’s other passions include cars and motorbikes. In fact, he loves tinkling with anything with an engine to learn how it works.
Since joining HullWiper in 2020, Mitch has been responsible for all types of ROV repairs, operations and improvements at our global hub locations. He enjoys mechanical work and is always on the lookout for ways to improve the operational efficiency of our ROV.
Working for a company that actively strives to reduce harmful environmental impacts is important to Mitch. Much of his spare time is spent on his boat, so the health of the ocean is close to his heart, driving him to make eco-conscious decisions for his lifestyle.

Supervisor, Daniel is responsible for the procurement and
distribution of all HullWiper's ROV related parts to all our global locations.
He is a very systems-oriented person and will use his skills to create,
maintain and improve stock control and procurement.
Having grown up near the ocean, Daniel says he
feels honoured to be part of a team which is having a positive
impact on the marine environment.
